Resize icons and screens

Desktop icons are large and when I switch to some screens, they are too large for the monitor. Can't reach the arrows on the side to reduce the screens. Need help solving these problems. Thanks.

Right click a blank area of the desktop View -> Small Icons
Are you using the latest driver for your graphics card?
What have you set for screen resolution?

Not sure what you mean by "switch to some screens" I thought we were talking about the desktop.
Do you mean another monitor?
