I have an older all-in-one that i need to reset. It originally came with Windows 8. I upgraded to Windows 10. Will windows 10 still be installed after the reset?

If you go in to Settings, Update & Security, Recovery, then select Reset This PC, it will reset Windows 10. If you use your computers reset feature (usually a recovery partition), then it most likely will rest back to Windows 8. Either way you go, back up your important data first.

Another point. When Widows 10 was installed on the computer, it was registered with the motherboard. Worst case, therefore, is to make another fresh install of windows 10 using the media tool.

Read the Reset information and choose options very carefully.
There is a danger of losing your data and / or installed applications.
There is a way of doing a Win 10 restore / upgrade process without losing anything.
Download the Win 10 media creation tool and then choose "Upgrade"

If you reset from the OS then you will be taken back to Windows 10.
Rest assured, you will not fall back into Windows 8 at all.

Note: As the earlier person mentioned, you should back up your data first, whether or not, It is important.
