Remove Windows 10 S and install Windows 10

Hello,
I am replacing my 11 year old Laptop.
i have Windows 10 installed at the moment
My new Laptop has Windows 10 S installed.
Can I remove windows 10 S and replace it with my existing Win. 10 as I will be disposing of the old Laptop.

If I can do this, any advice please?

If the original Windows license was Retail (& you still have the key just in case) then yes; if OEM then no.
You should be able to switch out of S mode for free though.

Thank you very much, my new laptop should be arriving tomorrow and I was on the verg of sending it back, now that I know that there is not a problem, I'll be quite happy to follow the guidance in the link that you provided.

i had this same problem, you need to buy a license and use it and it will change your windows edition to pro or home depends on your license
