I'm not aware of any product that supports this short of employing a full blown Terminal Server (2008 or later) appropriately licensed including client licenses and then using something like RemoteApp
There is a kludge that suggests you can monkey with some registry setting and provide an "Alternate Shell" to specific users but it doesn't look to be something easily configured

I can see it causing more problems than it resolves.
Can RDP clients launch a remote application and then only display that application (and not the desktop)? The application would appear fullscreen within the client and if the application were close...
