SOLVED Problem downloading photos

Before installing Windows 10, when I plugged in my camera to my PC, I got a dialog box from which I downloaded my pics. Now, nothing appears on the task bar, nor do I get a dialog box. Am at loss what to do next.

When I connect camera and click file explorer, when I right click camera, get response, ' device either not responding of disconnected'. In past, using Windows 7, when I connected camera, always got camera icon immediately on task bar. Not happening now. Somehow, Windows 10 not recognizing my camera.

 

[Trouble]

Right click the Start Button and choose Device Manager from the menu
On the menu bar select view and choose show hidden devices
Expand "Portable Devices" look for any mention of "your camera"
Right click it and choose "uninstall"
Reboot your computer
Plug in your camera
