I got a lot of problems after my desktop computer upgraded to Windows 10. I brought my computer to a computer shop to fix the existing Windows 7 problems before upgraded it to Windows 10; in the same time I asked them to change a larger SSD drive. I guess the guy didn't fix it but instead he just changed the SSD drive for me and upgraded my computer to Windows 10.

I have upgraded my ultra thin ASUS laptop to Windows 10 myself, so far everything works fine.

Now, I got printer problem. It may not relate to the existing Windows 7 problem.

My printer worked okey previously (2 hours ago) when I printed my income tax return. After that it showed "sleep" and I couldn't print any page at all. I went to setup time to sleep in 30 minutes but it still didn't work. Please help.

My printer is Brother MFC-L2740DW:

Thanks.

Hi LSeed,

When you upgraded to Windows 10, did you upgrade the drivers for your printer too?

The CD/DVD that may have come with the printer with your original Windows 7 will not be fully compatible with Windows 10. You can download the correct drivers from Brother's Support site here:

http://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadtop.aspx?c=ca&lang=en&prod=mfcl2740dw_us_eu_as

You can also visit this page to see their FAQs on your printer where you may find help with the Sleep issue, if it is not a Driver related issue. They also have the manuals for your printer there which may have troubleshooting guides.

Hi Regedit32 and Trouble,

I really love this forum. It is very helpful. Thank you very much for all of you.

I have reinstalled my printer driver and software late last night because I got a lot of income-tax returns to do. Although I have made my printer work but it's not wireless. My Maxell keyboard still has problem but I will leave it and purchase a new one later.

Again, I really appreciate all your help.
