Installed and hope it is better than the last several updates

Best of luck although looking through the list of fixes and remaining known issues I only see the one GSOD (Kmode Exception) that they've addressed.

Installed it and now my computer won't shut down. It acts like its only logging out. I tell it to shutdown, Screen goes dark for a few seconds and then I am on the login screen again.

Checking whatever I can find online and no one is so far reporting a similar issue.
I can tell you that I personally had the exact same experience a couple releases back but it was a one off.
After physically forcing a shutdown one time, the problem never reappeared.

Stop code CRITICAL PROCESS DIED

check sfc /scan now to see if it fixes, so far I have no issues.

New stopcode now 0xc000021a I previously did the sfc/scan and also repaired but something else is wrong

Basically, The stop code 0xc000021a, STATUS_SYSTEM_PROCESS_TERMINATED occurs when the WinLogon (Winlogon.exe) or Client Server-Run Time Subsystem (Csrss.exe) files are damaged. Where Winlogon is responsible for handling the login and logout processes and Client Server-Run Time Subsystem belongs to Microsoft Client or Server.


boot to media and do a repair install. if still then the same issue
boot to command as admin
chkdsk C: /f /r
has been found that many times the update will corrupt the hdd due to (who knows why)

I did the chkdsk as shown and it may have fixed the trouble. Thanks No such luck still locks up after so long
