Using AVG PC Tune up Is there any better.
Performs "clean"then minutes later does a further clean and finds new items.
Does this indicate that first clean was not satisfactory

I stick to the built in "Disk Clean up" -run in Admin mode.
Hopefully, as it is designed to work within Windows, it has the safest configuration.
Once in a while, particularly before making an image, I run Ccleaner.

There’s several options for third party cleanup tools:
CCleaner. https://www.ccleaner.com/
HD Clean. http://www.kurtzimmermann.com/hdcleanerext_en.html
JV16 Powertools. http://www.kurtzimmermann.com/hdcleanerext_en.html
I use JV 16 & CCleaner pro. JV 16 has been known to create problems, I’ve had this programs for quite a few years with a lifetime license & it has messed up Windows about three times. CCleaner has in the last year or so has had problems with malware being included in the download & removing the opt out option for sending information to Piriform/Avast.
JV 16 has a 60 day full functionality trial but I do recommend having a reliable backup/image while using just in case.

The only problem I have had, over several years of use, was, since its purchase by Avast, were the popups and the automatic default to monitoring the system.
First thing I do is select the option and tun it off.
It had an unfortunate period, when still owned by Piriform, when it was hacked and malware planted in the installation.
The particular release was withdrawn, but can still be downloaded from various third party sources. Best downloaded from its more recent site Ccleaner.com.
I must admit, that it has not given me any noticeable problems to date. Attention should be paid, though, to the long list of available options in the menu.

Hey bud...your HD clean link and your JV 16 Powertools are the same link. Find the correct link and I'll or some staff member will edit it for you.
