I have tried many times to arrange for my Password to be required to open Windows 10 after my computer has been in Sleep mode. So far no success. Has anyone else solved this problem?

Another (Windows 10 method) to solve the problem - which you should not be having. As bassFisher says, it is ON, by default.
Start - Settings - Accounts - Sign in options. click the first item. It should say "When computer wakes from sleep"

Thanks, davehc. I have this set as you say but it makes no difference. The computer takes no notice

OK.

Go through these processes.

1. Open the Control Panel and then Power Options.
2. Under balanced, "Change Power settings."
3. In the next window "Change advanced power settings"
4. Check What is set under the first item. If you have a laptop, then you should see "On Battery" and "Plugged in" If either or, show "No", see if they can be changed to "Yes" (Probably not!)
5. In the same window, at the top in blue, you should see a message "Change settings which are currently unavailable"- Click this and now see if you can change the password requirement to "Yes"

If you are successful, you can now have a look at the path in my previous post and you should find it is now correct.

Hey there, I've tried this, saved the settings but this still hasn't changed anything sadly.... It shows in a greyed out box set to "Yes" under "Password required after waking up from sleep", however after I put the computer to sleep either by pushing the power button on my XPS13 or going through it on the start menu and waking it back up it doesn't ask for a password.

I've even saved the settings and did a complete restart of the whole system to no avail. Does anyone have any idea of what's going on?

I have the same problem. I cannot get the "password required" to work when the PC wakes up. I've done both steps offered above, but to no avail. Anyone have any other ideas?
