For some reason I'm not able to open a new tab when using file explorer. Ctrl+T does nothing and I noticed the Open new tab option is missing. Does anyone know a fix for this? Thank you.
Microsoft giveth and Microsoft taketh away.
The feature / function (formerly known as "Windows Sets") that supported tab type functionality in File Explorer as well the Command Prompt is gone, but....
It may be back at some point
OR
It may not
Depends on what or whom you listen to.
Windows 10 features have been known to come and go, but one of the best features to be beta tested, known as Windows Sets, could soon be making a comeback.
I just right-click the File Explorer icon on the Taskbar and choose either File Explorer or a folder on that list to open a new instance, don't bother with tabs except for the Internet browsers.
