Old versions of Photoshop & Windows 10 compatibility

Several years ago I took an online class learning how to create my own graphics and how to edit photos. We used Adobe Photoshop 4 because it was a free download at that time. It was very simple to learn and I enjoyed using it. Through the years and getting new computers I have lost that program . Can anyone tell me if Photoshop 4 is compatible with Windows 10? (I don't know if this is a 32 bit or 64 bit computer.) If it is, where can I find a copy to download? If it isn't, what is the oldest version that is compatible and where do a find a free download of that? Thanks so much. Megan

A completely free alternative (as in "Free Beer") is GIMP:

I don't know any download links for a free version of Adobe Photoshop sorry!.
