Any idea as to what this Wi-Fi icon, with the white box over it, mean ?

what version of Win 10 are you running?, an upgrade (if necessary) may solve the problem?.

All the icon's seem to be overlaid on a rectangle.....weird indeed. Have you tried a reboot?

So it seems to be with the upgrade path from 1909 to 2004 vs a clean install.
