Not able to launch Mail & Calendar Apps

Hi, I was able to use the Mail & Calendar Apps for couple of days after upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. However, on the 3rd day, I wasn't able to launch both apps although I could still see incoming mail notification both on the Action Center and Live Tile. Please help. Below are extract from the events logs (hope I got the right logs):

Not sure, but I think both apps have been recently updated.
Have you checked the MS Store? Up at the top where your account picture would be, click that and then downloads and then check for downloads?

Hi guys
Me too :-(

Same Thing happend on my FX-8350 Desktop. Mail and calendar was OK for some days.
I have configured about 8 different mailboxes ( Hotmail/Outlook, gmail, yahoo, Exchange,... )
Suddenly it hangs and now Mail or calender showes starting Screen and nothing more.
after some minutes mail or calender Closes without reaction.

I think it was a short time after the first Service pack of Win 10 was automatically installed.....?

and there is no possibility to configure mailboxes outside the mail app .....

in the Moment i have no idea what to do .....

and .....

on my Lenovo Yoga, same configuration same mailboxes - but it still works....

additional info:
I have 6 apps in the store pending a download. ( different ones: Office, Note, Windows camera, MS solitair, hyper, ..... )
But the downloads doesn't work. They stay at 0 or 0.1 MB.
It is possible to stop and start, but nothing happend.

and same like before, on my yoga - download starts immediately ......

And ....
Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3081424) was installed before.

I tried the same ( out of sheer desperation ) and it works:

What he did ( took about 6 Min ) :

cmd.exe as admin
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
Reboot the Computer.

Now everything works fine :)
Mail and calender ar starting quick.

Also the downloads at the store are running again :rolleyes:
