No Start Menu

What happened to my Start Menu?
It disappeared almost 2 years ago. About 6 months ago it was present for about a month then it went away.
What is causing this?

Which version of Windows were you running & what version are you running now?
It sounds like you may have had Windows 8 & not have Windows 10. The Windows 8 start menu was changed to add the old desktop menu in both Windows 8 & Windows 10, this is still available under Action centre>Tablet Mode.

I have had Windows 10 all along.

Are you referring to the Start menu you see when you click on the Start button? When you say it has disappeared do you mean there’s nothing showing or that the icons are blank?
Can you supply a screenshot of the problem?

Have you tried an in-place repair by downloading the media creation tool, running this & choosing to upgrade now?

A screenshot won't help as when I click on the Start Menu Icon or press the Windows key on my keyboard nothing happens. It quit working maybe 2 months ago.
