No Sound after Resetting Computer - speakers not working

Hi, I’m having trouble with sound on my computer. After a glitchy period, I reset the system, and now no speakers will work. My computer doesn’t have Bluetooth. I’ve tried resetting the computer again and even purchased new speakers, but they still don’t work regardless of where they’re plugged in. What steps can I take to resolve this issue?
