No new updates showing up in Windows Update list

Hello, I'm a bit of a Windows Insider newbie, and have been wanting to try the new linux shell in 14342. I've followed the various instructions in the Windows Insider homepage, as well as the fixes recommended in this link (http://www.askvg.com/fix-windows-10-insider-preview-build-10240-not-appearing-on-windows-update) but I'm still on the stock Windows 10 Pro 1511 version, and nothing shows up when I hit "Check for Updates."

Has this ever happened to anyone else? What am I missing?

Did you join the insiders program at this site:

Do you have something like in the image in your settings update. It will be different than mine but it should say Fast Sometimes it takes a few days to get the update.

Me too.
The only thing I see is that it seems to have jumped my build number from .1000 to 1001

My Windows 10 phone on the Fast Ring Insider Preview however... is at .1003
Not sure what that's about

Me too that was caused by that cumulative update. I hear that there may be a new build later today or tomorrow. Something to do with Cortana.

I'll do it tomorrow am but for me it looks boring. I could not even see any fixes that would affect me.

I am on the slow ring - less boring and more stable. But, I did get 14342rs1 on that.
