Hello all, I turned on my laptop one morning last week and in the screenshot attached is what it looks like. It appears I don't have a desktop and my new desktop is the new Windows 10 start menu. I'm gonna be perfectly honest I hate it. I want to know if anyone knows if I can go back to the previous OS or if I have accidentally hit something in the settings if they know where to go to change it back. I really enjoyed my Windows 10 OS until this update.

Any help would be great! If there are any questions that I can answer to help me through this please let me know.

Hi,

That looks like your Start is opened in Full Screen mode. To turn that off:
  • Click Start > Settings > Personalization > then in left pane click Start
  • Now in main window turn toggle to off next to Use Start full screen as sample image below indicates

If that is all ready turned off then your tablet mode may be enabled:
  • Click the Notification icon just to left of clock in System tray
  • Then click on Tablet mode to turn on or off

Amazing! Thank you. Would have maybe been nice if I had a touch screen but thank you so much. Tablet mode was on. No idea how that happened.
