The driver for NVIDIA graphics cards in the latest test assembly of Windows 10 Insider Preview under the number 16288 results in incorrect operation of some system functions. Interestingly, the installation of this driver is forcibly and even without warning to the user.
The problem was the driver GeForce version 387.68, installation of which in the assembly 16288 occurs automatically and suddenly - the process is indicated only by turning the screen off and on. The peculiarity of the new driver is that it supports the OpenGL 4.6 standard, which will be included in the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. The official version of the NVIDIA driver for widespread use at the moment is 385.41.
Installing the latest driver will disrupt the Night Light function. The third-party f.lux utility with similar functionality does not work. After installing the driver, the white color becomes abnormally bright, leaving the halogen spectrum. Also, the color rendition in games is distorted, and the text becomes unreadable. In addition, users complain about problems with changing desktop scales and hangs when using Adobe Premiere CC.
Those who have encountered these problems are encouraged to temporarily return to the previous version of the driver. You can do this through Device Manager.
