Network naming 'issue'

Greetings all ~

Its not really an 'issue' more of an anyoyance but still ticks me off in a way ...


My Desktop (Hard Wired CAT cable ) has no .. and NEVER HAS HAD .. any wireless capability AT ALL .. but yet

It shows

Which is NOT correct ... that IS NOT the name of the connection .. how can i change that ... short of totally messing up the connection or what ever ?? the "5G" is the name of my wireless NOT the name of my ethernet ..

I get a similar thing with Windows 2004. The ethernet connection gets named as the last SSID that I connected to with wifi. I don't care.

I think if there was a way to name the Ethernet connection that might solve it.
