Some computers in my local work group network show up as media devices. I want them to appear as local network computers. I am running 4 Windows 10 computers and 1 Windows 7 machine on the network. How can I fix this issue?
I use 2 x 2TB NAS drives connected via Ethernet cable and they show on some computers in File Explorer in This PC in Network Locations and in Network as Media Devices. Once I Map the Public Folder on the drives they show on the left column below the C: and D: drives and Optical drive with their own drive letter. Windows used to/usually starts mapped drives beginning with Z: and working back up the alphabet.
