Netflix won't work

I can't seem to get Netflix or Hulu plus to work via the apps. I've gone through all the windows updates, tried to figure out the video players. Sometimes, when I play Netflix, it says system configuration error, and to check my windows update and my video player. I've done all of that. Sometimes, it plays sound, but there's no visual. What do I do?

My Netflix seems to be working OK.
I did have to go down on the bottom right and select "Languages"
And turn off "Subtitles" and select "English Stereo"
