i stupidly deleted all the folder.jpgs.

now i need them.

what's the easiest (and most economical) way to batch-fetch cover art for a HUGE mp3 library?

With WMP right-click the bar just below the title bar. This will show the Menu bar, since it is hidden by default. Then select [Tools > Advanced]. There you have the option between "restore media library" and restore deleted library items".

negative. i deleted this stuff a long time ago. it's way gone.
besides, i wouldn't want to restore the mp3s i've deleted.

There is an option to force the player to look online and download the library information again. I know I've done it before. In fact I've gotten ticked off with the library automatically making changes, so I turned the auto feature off so I could make corrections and have them stick. This is why I thought it was an automated feature by default. It has been awhile since I have allowed a media player control of my MP3 files, so I'm a bit rusty. I do know that what you ask is possible, just have to find the right option.

yeah, i've seen it fetching info.
but never cover art. =/

I wonder if removing the library folder and adding it back would force the repair you need.
