Version 1507 -- the debut release of July 2015 -- falls off the patching list in two months

Microsoft has set March 26 as the end date for support of the original Windows 10 edition.

"After March 26, 2017, Windows 10, version 1507 will no longer be serviced, as only the two most Current Branch for Business (CBB) versions are actively serviced," Nathan Mercer, a Microsoft senior product marketing manager, wrote in a post to a company blog Thursday.

Version 1507 was the original Windows 10 release of July 2015. It abides by the year-month labeling that Microsoft has assigned to the Windows 10 editions

Perhaps version 1507 will turn out to be the more stable version without MS interfering.;)

End of servicing for Windows 10, version 1507
With the availability of Windows 10, version 1607 to the VLSC on January 26th, the grace period for Windows 10, version 1507 will begin. That means, after May 2017, Windows 10, version 1507 will no longer be serviced as only the two most Current Branch for Business (CBB) versions are actively serviced.

Hmm looks like version 1507 may well end up the most stable version.

Interesting point here. For MSDN subscribers, MS have just made available an ISO release, dated late January, of Windows 10. Fully updated.
I would like to see this available, as a freebie, for all those who have already changed over voluntarily, to the earlier releases. Saves a lot of update hassle in the event of a reinstall.

davehc I agree, I had to go through a reinstall once, the whole update process is painful. Not to mention, it's a data hog too, especially for users on a metered plan.
