Microsoft Edge WebView2 hogging 50% to 70% of CPU

On my desktop, I don’t have Microsoft Edge WebView2, but on my relative’s low-spec Lenovo 110 running Windows 10 Home, it constantly uses 50% to 70% of the CPU. There’s no option to remove it through Programs, and I’ve spent hours trying to minimize its impact. The laptop is only used for web browsing and MS Word/Excel 2010, with no other Windows apps or Windows 365. How can I disable or reduce its CPU usage?
