Lost printer driver since installation of W10

Hello all, I'm a little confused as to why my print spooler keeps shutting off since i loaded W10. I have a HP ENVY and have tried to run both printers that worked prior to the install. Both work on the other laptop that isnt running W10.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I have same printer as you.
Are you connecting via Wi-Fi or cable.
When you upgraded to 10 did you rerun the disc that came with the printer as
some settings need to be re installed.
Also have you put in the latest drivers from the HP site
Also if you have done all of the above have you run their trouble shooter,
Or run it in the mode your other computer is running in

Open a *.doc or similar.
open the print option in the program you are using (word?).
If you cannot see the printer listed, let it try and find it in the options. If you are lucky, it will ask if it can download the drivers for the printer. let it do this and you might have success.

This worked for me on a colleagues computer, where he insisted on using a really antique printer model.

I was amazed after being frustrated by Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 on my HP OfficeJet 4500 Wireless.
Works now as well or better than it did on Windows 7.
