Hello and welcome to the forum.
Please clarify

I keep losing my DNS service

Are you saying that the DNS Client Service is gone from the Services Management Console
services.msc
OR
IS DHCP failing to acquire a DNS server address from your router
OR
IS the router failing to forward and or resolve DNS server information

Have you tried setting static values for DNS in the IPv4 properties of the properties sheet of your network adapter?
Primary DNS: 68.1.16.107
Alternate (secondary) DNS: 68.1.16.108
