Lenovo dual booters (Windows + Ubuntu), read this important message!

anyone that might have a Lenovo laptop should read the following article before installing Ubuntu 17.10 as it is breaking BIOS on Lenovo laptops!:

Any word if that also affects Linux Distros based upon Ubuntu such as my Linux Mint 18.2?

HI Bighorn,

it is only affecting Ubuntu 17.10 (or any variant, Ubuntu MATE 17.10, Lubuntu 17.10, Xbuntu 17.10) afaik, Linux Mint 18.2 is based on Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial so you are good to go!.

Ubuntu 17.10 is using Wayland as default although "xorg" can be activated at the login window!:

I forgot to mention, if anyone is running Ubuntu 16.04, 16.10 or 17.04 on an Lenovo laptop, DON'T UPGRADE to Ubuntu 17.10!!!!!.
