Laptop screen goes blank

Acer laptop i3 5742-6674 about 6 or 7 years old (but not used much only when i am away home i have cameras so that what i use it for)

it start to load, then the screen goes black(sometimes but its doing more and more) can anybody help????????????

The first thing I'd try is disabling fast startup. Type control panel in the search box next to the start button on the bottom left. In the control panel select Hardware and Sound, then select Power Options. On the left select Choose what the power buttons do. Then on top select Change settings that are currently unavailable. Uncheck Turn on fast startup. Click Save changes. I think it will prompt a restart. See if that helps.
