Laptop running slow after H121 update

I installed the latest versiom after pauaing it for a couple weeks on my HP pavilion and ever since my laptop has been getting slower and slower. I can't revert back to the old version as it's been over 10 days. Honestly don't know what to do. I need my laptop for work and all Internet browsers take about 20 minutes to open once the laptop is on. Netflix takes about an hour to warm up and even my settings crashes constantly and I have to close everything. Any ideas what I can do? Have no portable hardrive to back everything up on...

For the slowness I would start by looking at the startup programs in task manager and also look at the performance tab to se what is going on.
