How can I print labels directly to stock. Now it keeps insisting on a PDF file that does not print to label stock correctly.
Thanks for the suggestion. Set printer as default but it still is insisting on PDF file!?Go to settings>>>>then Devices>>>>>then click on your printer and select set as default. The "should" do it.
What label program are you using? Do you have the ability within the program to direct it to a particular printer or set printer preferences?Label program insisting on PDF file.
Its just the basic Microsoft Word ..Mailings.. Labels that I have used for years and now doesn't print since the upgrade to Windows 10 yesterday. It must be in a default setting somewhere but I am to old and technology challenged to figure it out on my own. I sincerely regret going to Windows 10What label program are you using? Do you have the ability within the program to direct it to a particular printer or set printer preferences?
Is there an upgraded version of the program from the software vendor?
Its Microsoft Word Starter 2010 Printer Deskjet F4280 Avery stock all of which worked before Windows 10Maybe someone here might have a solution for you....
Can you tell us which version of MS Office or MS Word you are using?
EDIT: Which printer you are using as well as which label stock (Avery for instance) you are using might also be helpful.
All previous documents are being saved to a PDF file. What would happen if if "Removed" Microsoft print to PDF file from the Settings...Devices?I wasn't aware that Word Starter 2010 would even work on Windows 10.
Do you have any problems printing anything else from within Word Starter 2010.
No. I have never used those and don't know if I know how to. Is there an easy way to go back to Windows 7?Sounds to me like you need to get your current printer configured and working so you can printer normally.
Have you tried Word Pad and or Notepad to see if either of those will print to your HP
