issues with downloading AOL Gold

I had an issue with downloading AOL Gold due to a problem with Microsoft software. After contacting AOL, they informed me that the download was being blocked by Microsoft. The error message mentioned that assembly binding logging is turned off and suggested modifying a registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWord) to 1 to resolve the issue. However, I'm unsure if there has been an update from Microsoft, as I have never encountered difficulties downloading AOL before. Any assistance would be appreciated.
