After a restart my laptop will boot to the windows sign-in screen and start to load windows and then abruptly shut itself off.
I have found that if I let the computer sit for 10 minutes it will then startup properly and run fine... until the next restart...

I have a fresh install of Windows 10 with the April update.
The reason I have a fresh install is that prior to the install the laptop was locking up randomly and the only option was the power button (5 secs) to shut it down.

I have run SFC and it found errors it says it can't repair.
Also ran dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth from powershell (admin) and it completed successfully

I have SSDlife pro and it states the SSD is healthy.

Not sure where to go from here.

Anyone help ???

On my laptop I found an unlabeled button inside the case by the extra ram slots. Not knowing what it did, I couldn't resist pushing it. Upon pushing it, I believed it reset the BIOS / UEFI. It didn't damage anything, but it did resolve my issue with an endless boot. NOTE: I have no idea what the button actually does, please do more research before pressing it if you have one.

The button is probably a reset for the hardware configuration on your laptop. It is common for motherboards to have this button...older motherboards had a jumper instead. It should not cause a problem and may clear up a problem or two that you may have had and didn't know it.
