Internet service blinks in and out

With regularity I lose the internet connection. It blinks in and out multiple times over a 5 minute period at times, at other times I may have service for 15 or 20 minutes. Sometimes after the blinking in and out service is totally lost with a message that the internet connection cannot be found and it remains that way until the computer is rebooted. It does not appear to be the modem and the router is brand new. I have rebooted each multiple times without correcting this issue. This has been a recurrent problem since installing Windows 10.
