I only have boxes where the images should be,for instance on this page i am seeing no images just square white boxes and a symble in the top left hand corner but no images

Try a different one to see if the result is the same.

What 3rd party security software are you using (if any)?

Did this just happen, have you made any recent changes or downloads?
I would performing a system restore to an earlier restore point in time.

IF you are using Internet explorer, try:
Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, and then in the Multimedia section of the list, there’s an item Show Picture. Make sure it is ticked.

Many thanks for all your suggestions.I was staring at my screen when I noticed next to my name top right corner a funny red icon.When I clicked on it 2 messages appeared.First 1 was unable to sync 2 images turned off in Google.Iwent to my settings and turned on images.Now I didnt even know you could do that so how it happened is one of lifes misteries but problem resolved.Once again many thanks for your help.Regards Audrey
