No doubt. This build upgrade took longer to complete than any previous build.

It also is a POS. DS said at the "Earliest there will be a new build is tomorrow" I think that is DS talk for Thursday.:D Whenever it is if it not capable of awaking from sleep on my PC then it will be the last Insider Build..
I know I have said this in the past but I am going to have a busy time. My Daughter is getting Married, My Father in Law is 89 and near heavens gate. Dialysis 3 days a week. My wife is a basket case as she is staying with her parents and driving me nuts. That being said, I do mean it. I don't have 4 hours to install a build when they used to install in 20 minutes. They should end this madness with Holo Lens and virtual reality and jut make a OS that works and have all that crap as addons.

Blocking Bug, so...... nothing today. We'll see how long they use that as an excuse to delay builds.

Sounds like you're pretty busy Gary.
I wouldn't be messing about with builds either, if I had that much going on.

I agree, these later builds seem to be taking a very long time to download / install / boot to desktop.
The total time seems to be getting longer instead of shorter which, I thought, was suppose to be the whole idea of the new UUP (Universal Update Platform), where the process looked over the specific machine and then downloaded and installed, only those specific bits and bobs that were required.

Yep...... I pretty much saw that coming.
We'll see how long they use that as an excuse to delay builds.
I hope they, and everyone else enjoy the Memorial Day Holiday, and.....
Personally I could do with a Build Break. I just wish I were more confident that the next one would be something worthy of installation.

Don't they code all the builds at Redmond? She has more excuses than anything. Sounds like only to be one build per week, then the next build will probably be my last as none of the 1619XX builds have worked for me.

IDK.
One build a week would be fine with me.
I'm not too sure what is going on seems like all the builds so far have been pre-release -> pre-release and not much in the way of any WOW factor.
I just hope they catch some of the people they are chasing. I had already figured that it would take a day or two to recoup and regroup following the long weekend so maybe Thursday or Friday.

My guess is any future builds will simply slowly retire Control Panel permanently leaving the User with Settings only, and hopefully iron out some of the more repetitive bugs that have bothered some users.

So far as WOW Factor goes, until the industry produces new technology at an affordable cost for the consumer, any new improvements for the Windows 10 service probably will not be much use to the average pundit.

The tech is on its' way. The new X-series Intel Processor "which boasts an astounding 18 cores/36 threads. Intel says the i9-7980XE is the first ever teraflop desktop PC processor".
At two grand a pop ( $2000 ) I don't know how consumer affordable it'll be anytime soon

I've heard that they may be making some changes to the user interface (whatever they might be). I suspect you're right with respect to control panel slowing fading away.
AND then there is always "Project Neon" which seems to be a lot of fluff to me but I'm sure some folks will like it, just like they liked "Aero Glass" :)

True!

Do you recall when Nokia offered the cell phone with blue screen. It was all the rage, but in reality just fluff as you might put it.

It looked, briefly, like we were on a path to get a new build today 16203 (I think) for PC.
But apparently something is going on in the wonderful world of the Big Red Button.
Something got loose for mobile, and evidently wreaked a little havoc, so now our "flight" would seem to be in a holding pattern.
Been waiting and watching but it's getting a little too late in the day for me to muster up much further interest.
Tomorrow is always another day......
AND I say that with fingers crossed. At my age you can't be too careful.

So as of about an hour ago or so.....
Things are not looking too good for today or perhaps even this week.
