Hello,

My pc doesn't require a password to wake it up or when it's turned on. I would like a password required anytime someone wakes it up or turns it on.

I've gone to settings>accounts>sign in options and chose When PC wakes up from sleep. But it doesn't require a password when I wake it up. I have searched tirelessly and all I can find is how to remove the requirement, but not to set one.

Can anyone out there help? Thanks much, Christine

Assuming your account has a password
AND
That you are absolutely positive you know what that password is.....

Hold the windows logo key on your keyboard and strike the R key
In the run dialog box type
netplwiz
hit enter or click OK
Check the box at the top that says
"Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"
