I wanted to burn a CD on Windows 10/11, but after a failed attempt, I'm trying again. When I press "start burn," a notification from Windows Media Player pops up, stating that it cannot burn to the disc because the drive is in use. I've waited as instructed for several minutes, but I'm unsure how to cancel the current project on the drive so that I can proceed with burning.

I've never seen Windows Media Player interfere with burning a disc but I'd reboot the computer to try again, get a fresh load of the program being used, assure no other program is running.
