I get a hang at 99% after trying to download win. 10, many of the offers to free if I formatted my hard disk and I had win, 10 for at about one year and love it. and I tried tuning of the virus by Norton.

I would try uninstalling your antivirus program. If Windows installs successfully, you can re install Norton.

If you are doing an upgrade, which means installing a new build such as 1511 to 1607, there may be a log file you can check. Look near the end for any error messages/numbers.

$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther

Look for a setupact.log or setuperr.log. I would ask you to zip it and attach but there may be some personal info included.

There are also comments about making sure you have 20 GBs free with a x64 install.
