I can't delete a folder due to permissions

I downloaded and unpacked the Brother printer firmware/software package. Now I want to delete that unpacked folder and it won't let me. I have visited a number of links showing how to take ownership/allow administrator privileges. They have all seemed to be simple to follow, but I can't remove this folder. Can anyone help me please?

Am I doing something wrong that no one is responding to this. I really need help. This is a huge folder and I want to get rid of it. I would so much appreciate some help.
