how to send email from outbox

I am sending an email to about 20 people, and it automatically put itself in OUTBOX. How do I actually send the email?

The outbox is where it would typically go until the sending is complete and then it would go to sent items.
Which email program are you using, how do you have your send and receive intervals configured, most should default to send immediately but you may have changed that. How long does it sit in the outbox?

The speed of your internet connection is another variable, as well as the content of the email. Going to 20 people, any large attachments? Back when internet connections were much slower for everyone, an email with multiple photos for instance would regularly get 'stuck' in the outbox until the entire message transmitted.
