Hi all,
I recently bought a new android phone (Samsung Galaxy A71 5G). On my previous phone (LG Phoenix 4) I would store pictures on a microSD card. When I transferred the SD card to my new phone I lost a big portion of my pictures. It seems as a fail safe android phones store these files in the LOST.DIR directory. I was able to recover most of the pictures in LOST.DIR by adding the extension .jpg to files of file type "Image" (e.g. 1241185 to 1241185.jpg). This method did not work for files of file type "Program", "Text" or "Unknown" as shown below and I know my most recent pictures were not recovered. Does anyone know how I can save these remaining files.
