Here are some instructions I got from the Internet:
In my case, "Encrypt contents to secure data" is greyed out, as it is for every file I try. I am on Windows 10 Post-Anniversary Ugrade, recent re- update (please see the attachment). The oddity is, I have a file which I protected in that way two or three months ago (before I installed the SSD, if that makes a difference). I don't want to use a third part software.
EDIT: I have tried this approach on a folder on my D: drive (an internal rotational drive) with the same failure.
So how can I do it please?
