SOLVED How to fix taskkill /IM explorer.exe /F

Do not do taskkill /IM explorer.exe /F, it can crash your taskbar.

You can escape by holding the physical power button the keyboard until it shuts down, and then power it again.
If it doesn't work, be sure you have cmd.exe open and do this: shutdown /r /t time_until_restart_in_secs
It will restart Windows in the set amount of time (not 0)

Of course it will. Explorer.exe loads your desktop environment.

There is no need in restarting unless you just want to. You can get Explorer.exe back, by loading Explorer.exe as a new task in Task Manager. Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del will take you to login screen. From there you have the option to start Task Manager, Switch Users, Power off, and etc.

And easier you can do Windows+R
