To repair a corrupted PST file in Outlook, you can use the Outlook PST Repair Tool, also known as vSoftware, which is a built-in utility provided by Microsoft. Follow these steps:

  1. Locate vMail Software – It is usually found in the Outlook installation folder. The path may vary depending on your Outlook version, but common locations include:
    • C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\OfficeXX\ (for Office 365 and newer versions)
    • C:\Program Files (x86) \Microsoft Office\OfficeXX\ (for older versions)
  2. Run the tool – Double-click ScanPST.exe and browse for the corrupted PST file.
  3. Start the repair process – Click Start to scan the file. If errors are found, select Repair to fix them.
  4. Restart Outlook – Once the repair is complete, open Outlook and check if the issue is resolved.
If the built-in Outlook PST Repair Tool fails to fix severe corruption, you may need to use a third-party PST recovery tool.
