You can create a shortcut to email within outlook on your desktop or quick start menu by-
1. Right-click on the desktop and click New shortcut.
2. Now enter "mailto:" or browse for any location to the targeted item and click next.
3. Type a name for the shortcut as per your needs.
4. Then drag the shortcut to the quick start toolbar.
And now you can easily access your shortcut.
