Help me stop my computer from trying to load Windows 10

Each time it tries to load Windows 10 it freezes and won't shut down properly. I have a ThinkPad Lenovo X1 Carbon, less than a year old - do I need Windows 10? How can stop my latp top from trying to download it? Please help! Prefer to talk with technical support but not getting an answer on 800#.

What do you mean?? According to the Lenovo Website your laptop comes with Windows 10 Home by default.

If you go into Control Panel, Update, there should be an option there to turn off Window Update.

I would recommend you install Windows 10 fresh!
