Help locate software installed before Windows 10

I installed Windows 10 over Windows 7 or 8. I have issues, but most importantly, how do I find my Microsoft Word and Excel software or the icons that were on my desktop?

I'm running MS Office 2013 and my programs are under C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15\

You should be able to find shortcuts on the Start menu under 'M' for Microsoft. If you want a desktop icon, just drag the icon from the Start menu onto your desktop and a copy of the shortcut will be created there.
