Gmail Sync 'Your Name'

Okay so I've figured out how to change my gmail sync name for future use, not my problem. My problem is the sheer embarrassment of my 13 year old email 'name' syncing with my college email. I have now sent an email to a professor from this very edgy name. For the love of god, tell me the synced sender name does not appear to the recipient. I think I might die.

Hi buddy, I hardly know any such system or thing. But you can get your name beside email changed if you wish too.
