Free Win10 Upgrade Scenario!!?

Hi all...

My daughter upgraded Win8.1 to Win10 2 weeks ago, hated it, so went back to Win8.1 yesterday. Now I've a question... Win10 Freebie ends 29Jul2016... she DID upgrade to Win10 PRIOR to that end date... since MS is "pretty much forcing" moving to Win10 more and more lately...

What happens if her computer gets forced to Win10 (or she decides to relent)... AFTER 29Jul2016??? Since she's already BEEN upgraded (in time)... will her "account" still show a "freebie re-load"?? Or will it cost $$??

She can download the clean install below and create a Install DVD or flash drive. Windows 10 was activated when she did the upgrade. She can do a clean install before the free upgrade expires or after (for the life of the machine).

Just thought of another variation... suppose we decide to upgrade the hard drive... or RAM... will THESE changes affect being able to revert back to Win10 (say) in Sep 2016???

Technically a new machine is defined as a new motherboard. So ram, HD or SSD or anything else don't count as a new machine. Although sometimes people do have problems but a call to MS they straighten it out.
