Hi
I'm getting flickering windows and browsers.
If I turn off hardware acceleration on google chrome, the flickering stops - in Chrome only.
Unfortunately it still flickers elsewhere - Microsoft news etc.

I can't find any way to turn off hardware acceleration in Windows 10 options, I've tried to follow some online tutorials, but I don't have the same options as they do.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi theVenerable

it would help if you tell us what GPU you have, onboard or dedicated graphics?, have you installed any new drivers for the device recently?, what version of W10 do you have?. :):):)

Hi, and thanks for reply.
Ok
I have Nvidia 970m SLI set up
I install new drivers regularly, but also installed older drivers when I encountered this problem.
The problem is even present with my older drivers though.
I have a basic windows 10, upgraded from windows 8. Home version I think.
I always keep it updated.
Since I get the issue even using old graphics card drivers, I assume it's a windows update problem?
I don't have any issues when playing games, just on the desktop.

Hi theVenerable,

try troubleshooting the problem with graphics via Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Video Playback. :)

I have windows home version 1083
I've tried searching for updates but it says its fully updated.

I also ran the video playback troubleshooter and it said I have no issues
Thanks

Make sure that your video card resolution and refresh rate match that of your monitor. You will usually get screen flickering if the refresh rates do not match.
